One of the biggest problems with eyelid inflammation is the solidification of secretions from the meibomian glands. Heating the eyelids liquefies secretions and promotes blood circulation at the edges of the eyelids. It is therefore extremely important to restore the function of the meibomian glands.
Eyelid warming is only effective if a warm, moist environment is maintained at a constant temperature of around 45 degrees for a period of 5–7 minutes. The POSIFORLID® eye mask is a self-heating mask that meets these requirements excellently and can be used approximately 90 times.
