Calma is an innovative feeding solution designed for breastfed babies. It does not interfere with breastfeeding and allows the baby to feed the way he learned at the breast, which facilitates the transition from breastfeeding to Calma and back to breastfeeding.
The Medela Calma feeding system was designed exclusively as an alternative to breastfeeding for mothers who want to feed their babies with breast milk. It was developed in collaboration with breastfeeding experts at the Hartmann Human Lactation Research Group at the University of Western Australia.
Calma's teats help prevent the baby from swallowing air while feeding, as they are regulated by a unique ventilation system.
