Aptamil Lactose Free is a food for specific medicinal purposes, especially indicated for meeting the nutritional needs of lactose-intolerant infants, from birth.
It is a complete food and suitable as a sole food source, from birth to 6 months of age. It must be used under medical supervision.
Lactose has been removed to help reduce the risk of intolerance symptoms and replaced with an alternative carbohydrate (maltodextrin) to ensure adequate nutrition is maintained.
Using a lactose-free formula can help with a quick recovery. It cannot be used in cases of galactosemia and allergies to cow's milk proteins.
