Bottle indicated for babies with oral complications that affect feeding.
Dr Brown's Medical Bottle with Specialized Feeding System helps in the treatment and management of cases with serious or very serious oral complications that affect the feeding of newborns, such as cleft palate and cleft lip, congenital heart diseases, clinical conditions common or rare diseases such as Pierre-Robin or Strikler syndrome, oromotor and neuromotor dysfunctions (mouth muscles) or craniofacial anomalies.
This system allows the baby to be fed independently with a bottle, directly, efficiently and safely, without the need to continually squeeze the bottle or manipulate it to dispense a specific amount of liquid into the baby's mouth, thus eliminating the need to use assistive elements such as chin or cheek supports.
The baby's ability to extract the liquid on its own from the teat reduces the risk of developing intolerances or defensive attitudes towards intake, as well as refusal or aversion during oral feeding.
The bottle that is part of the Dr. Brown's Specialized Feeding System retains all the features that make our bottles special: a complete ventilation system that creates a positive pressure flow for vacuum-free feeding. This system prevents the negative effects of vacuum, helping the baby to feed in a more comfortable way, eliminating the discomfort of swallowing air, reducing the symptoms of colic, gas and belching, the risk of otitis in the middle ear and maintaining for longer time with vitamins A, C and E.
Your regulating valve, the key to efficient feeding
The feeding flow regulating valve fits inside the teat, allowing the baby to use the movements of the tongue and jaws during sucking to achieve and properly distribute a dose of fluid that can be safely swallowed.
